Same here; while annoying, it hasn't bothered me too much since the site is otherwise set up so well (in terms of forums and so on). My guess would be it has something to do with the site switching from forumz.cc to superforums.org -though that could be unrelated to the search problems. And speaking of unrelated to search problems...

Since the switch to superforums.org, I no longer have the advertisment bar at the top -is that true for everyone else?

Beauty and ugliness are in the eye of the beholder (but which of all of them, I cannot say). Personally, I find the ones at the top of the screen more annoying. But that could be just me.

This problem is rendering the site unusable. If it persists, admin needs to un-nest all the boards; the only thing that kept the site functional was the find new posts feature.

We are working on fixing this, although it lies out of our hands so far as the actual problem. The forums will not be un-nested, rather, should the hosting site prove inept in fixing the problem, it is likely DF will migrate once again. We've had too many problems here, unexplained downtime without warning, this no search function is merely the latest in a pile of issues.

I would issue a tentative warning to people to save anything they might like on these boards. I don't know if the problem will be fixed or if we'll have to move, but the more warning I can give you guys, the better.

Supposedly the site has undergone a software upgrade and the issue is fixed.

I'm not holding my breath. If anyone notices any problems with site downtime or the search function, report them here immediately.
